Does your calorie intake impact how fast you recover from an injury?
I've been at a 500 cal deficit for 2 months but just twisted and fucked my ankle.
Will I heal faster if I up my cals to maint/surp ?

Damn, that hair is cut so well. The layers seems to fall in place with such ease it amazes me.

I don't think 500 kcal a day will make much of a difference, especially with an ankle injury. But I'm also not a doctor.

This "too smart" meme is going places
your calories will change because your less active though, so consider that, makes sense to me more resources means more repair, no science just bro science

synthesis is needed for recovery amirite?
but I would say you only realize that you will become weaker if you don't eat properly while in recovery

Just stay hydrated, get some collagen/glucosamine in the mix, and eat healthy fats. Healing injuries does take energy and will go slower if you're at a deficit.
Not a big difference at a 500 deficit. It would matter if it was starvation diet or sth
Just keep cutting man, that bullshit about the body needing nutrients to repair itself is just broscience, i would lower my deficit to about 700 cals to speed up recovery
