I noticed the front part of my head thinning and receding when I was just 21. Replace milk products, especially actual milk but also things like yogurt, with soy milk.

The one flaw in my appearance before I started balding was that my ears stuck out a bit too far. I would have shaved my head except that my hair was the only thing keeping them from being autist-tier. I could have pulled off that look, I have a pretty good goatee.

Thankfully monoxidil alone fixed it and I didn't have to fuck with hormone blockers. Maybe I could have benefited from weaker body odor and less body hair but risking my reproductive ability is not something I want to do

Im 19 and its already noticeable. Got minoxidil 5% and the shedding has stopped, that's after a few months. Claims around 6 months it grows back, but we'll see. Also stop wearing hats

There are 2 main causes, outside of vitamin deficiencies or poisoning. Hormones and genetics. Namely testosterone, which gets turned in your hair follicles into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Nobody knows exactly why but DHT makes your follicles shrink leading to the thinning out of hair.
Many of the genes that facilitate these processes are on the X chromosome, which is why it's more common in men to go bald, as they only have one X chromosome that always gets expressed while women have 2 versions to choose from. Not to mention the extra testosterone production.
So how to counter it? Difficult to say, if we had a surefire way to do it people would already be making millions selling the cure, but it's not as simple as that.
Finasteride can help, as it blocks the production of DHT, and minoxidil increases blood flow in hair follicles.
Hence some products like anti-hairloss shampoos can be effective provided they have the right mixture of chemicals in them. But that's only if your hairloss is not due to some other outside cause, like an undiagnosed illness, toxins, physical stress, bacteria or the like.

You might not be balding when you get older your hairline sometimes moves back a little bit due to genetics mine has done this but i'm not balding because there is no actual recession.

The only thing you can do to improve hair without using medicines to make it grow is to try and not get stressed as much as stress hormones speed the balding process up.
