How reliable does InBody measure bf% and muscle mass?
>>39657392
not reliable at all. Water tank > caliper > tape measure.

How far off? I used a bodpod and the numbers weren't crazy off.
>>39657392
they're shit senpai. i wouldn't even pay $10 for a reading
>>39657464
Too far off. Let's put it this way: I'm around 12% bodyfat. One such machine measured me as 6.9%
get a DEXA scan instead
is it useful for progress if not raw stats? i was pretty excited about the month i just had

It said I was at 10% BF when I had clearly visible love handles and no abs

and today

I really want to believe mine's accurate. It had my muscle mass about 10-20% higher than the average for my age and height

It's not THAT innacurate however, bioelectrical impedance, isn't that accurate either. It's a good estimate and can help you track your progress if you take the measurements at the same time on the same circumstances every time (which might prove complicated). I did the same but with a different machine (actually a home one) and with calipers, both gave me the same result so, yeah.

It's a joke, worse than a meme, that's how bad it is.
>hydrostatic weighing
>DXA scan
>skin calipers, administered by an experienced medical professional
Those are the only accurate methods.
