So I've gotten back into working out after roughly a year being mostly sedentary. Previously I'd been doing lots of working out. During that year I did a lot for about a month before I lost motivation for various reasons. In that month I went from 2 pull ups to six. That was on a straight bar. I weighed 160.
Currently I weigh 165 after lifting for three months. During that three months I've been doing pull ups. I can only do seven after three months. My question: is it possible that the pic related is causing issues with my form? I had no trouble making pull up gains before but now it's incredibly hard. So what gives? Any other thoughts?

Well if you feel pain in your shoulders or off compared to how you did it before then it could be a problem with the bar.
But it's more likely because you put on weight combined with the fact that you are out of practice.
Look up greasing the groove. That should help.

I should have mentioned that I was feeling more tension in my shoulders than before, specifically along the front of them, near the armpit crease. Not so much pain but just a lot of tension. Thats what's giving out, my lats don't really feel anything from the pull ups.

Grip is too wide bruh.

You think? Then I do need to get a new bar, cause this one forces my grip to be at least as wide as it is when I feel that tension. Will my lats begin to feel the actual work being done then or do I pretty much need to rely in pendlay rows for that?
Make sure you are doing these 2 things when you start a pull-up.
1- Retract your scapula down your back
2- pull your chest towards the bar
Doing a pull-up while your body is straight instead of chest pointing toward the bar does not properly utilize your lats. From what you have written, it seems like you are pulling with your arms up.

* pulling up with your arms
you need to do high reps meaning lat pulldowns before you do pullups
