I have a mystery.
I am alternating running and lifting every other day mon-fri
I always feel hungry, even with 3 meals a day ( no fast food except twice on weekends).
I also seem to slowly be gaining weight

Fix what? You don't want to gain weight? If so eat less. If your still hungry add lower calorie but denser meals like veggies or salad for example.
