Well, my situation was nowhere near normal, so I'm not exactly the best person to ask for advice here.

I'm a 29 year old neet who just started putting myself through college, where I met her. She was homeschooled by a ridiculously religious family, and was socially awkward as hell, so I figured she be an easy first gf to work some autism out on.

Turns out, that her mother was completely overbearing, and had completely beaten her dad into submission, and because she had no strong male figures in her life, she literally didn't see men as human beings. They were nothing more than sperm banks with wallets attached, that were to be crushed into submission.

This turned into her throwing temper tantrums like a 2 year old over any sign of independence, or thought outside what was covered in the Bible, and she ended up destroying the relationship over completely trivial things that literally wouldn't matter to normal people. She was straight up abusive with her bullshit.

She also never put out, and I'm convinced that she probably never will. She's that much of a prude. And if she ever does, it will be solely for the purpose of procreation.

We dated for the first 6 months of the year, and they were honestly the worst months of my life. At one point, the stress made me lose 30 pounds in 2 months (20 of which were muscle), throwing away a ton of hard work in the gym (used to be a hungry skelly).

She started dating another guy 2 weeks after we broke up, and they went for a couple of months before breaking up. After what I went through with her, I'm convinced she's undatable. Unfortunately, because of how she's raised, she completely believes she's infallible, and can never be wrong (because MUH BIBLE), so I doubt she'll ever realize she's a horrible person and change.

Try this: Every single day go up to one girl and try to start a conversation. Say 'how's it going' or 'hello' or 'hey' or whatever. All you have to do is approach one girl every day. It doesn't have to go well, it doesn't have to lead to anything, if you make the effort and approach you've succeeded for that day.

Pretty quickly you'll realise that it really doesn't matter what you do or say; it's not a big deal. You'll realise that interaction with people is actually fun and full of potential and isn't scary or just another opportunity to put your foot in your mouth.

This will carry over to this girl you like and others after her.
It's fucking liberating honestly. It completely changed the way I view social interaction. Now I talk to girls because it's fun. It's even funnier when it goes horribly wrong. You learn to just not give a fuck and only then can you truly get rid of that awkwardness.
Anything you do other than that is just an attempt to mask the symptoms and trust me when I say that girls can see right through that.

I think it's just the nature of romance. Women, by and large, sit there and wait for men to come for or pursue them. They get used to shutting down those they don't like and then entertaining the ones they have some interest in.

Guys, being the pursuers, will oftentimes find "one" they really like and want and will fixate on her alone and make her the object of all of their desires while to her, he's still just another prospect, and it will take a lot of warming up for her to feel similarly to him.

But, I still do agree with you, especially at the ages below 30. Women are just raised differently, raised to expect and take from others. And at those ages, woman are at their peaks. Once women start to decline, men begin to hit their peaks through careers, self-acceptance and self-improvement. Then they usually hit a mid-life crisis afterwards as the reality of death hits them. Women just kind of wither like transient organisms, just going with the flow.

This!! Actually I have seen several articles recently talking about this phenomenon. Women "play the field", focus on their career, and search for the "perfect" man in their early to mid 20's. Then they wait so long that they enter their late 20's and even 30's without anyone only to realize that men now have higher standards and prefer the 22 year old who is a 10/10 with no career over someone their own age with a career. It talks about the value of men increasing as they age (financially, socially, etc) and thus they want a woman that is of higher value.

Unfortunately the lack of maturity from young women (and young men!) is preventing them from having fulfilling relationships and just serves to further this "issue".

Very interesting to see the dynamics shift as time goes on! Women generally hold the position of "power" when they are younger, and steadily lose their position as time goes on until they finally reach a point of equilibrium (which is part of the reason I think so many people are waiting so long to get married). Wait much longer than that and suddenly they are on the other end of the issue and aren't nearly as excited about the dating scene as they were before

No I agree with what you are saying wholeheartedly, I was just explaining the reasoning within the article. I think it really is interesting how much emphasis is placed on women physically and how much is placed on men financially. Crazy how similar the systems of value are while being completely different

I don't think I could be in a serious relationship where it was so obviously unequal. There is just no way that a 22 year old is going to be mature, and developed as much as her 30 year old counter-part.

I need a partner not an ornament. I just hope I find someone early and can grow with them.
