Yep, pretty much the only kind of cardio you can do that will burn fat and spur muscle growth. I'm on my phone so I can't post links but there are many peer-reviewed studies that back it up.

Sprinters have moremuscle because it is necessary for their sport hence they spend a lot of time in the gym, on the other hand to much muscle is a hinderance in endurance running so they do not have it nor do they focus much on weight training
