Hello /fit/
I'm dead set on cutting until i reach 10%
>I'm 5' 10" -- 267lbs (started 271) Fat, Angry, but Determined
>Strong and naturally muscular.
>One of those robust fat dudes who starts out with good form 2 plate bench.
>should probably weigh 180/190...when lean but who knows....
>Starting out I set a limit of 2500 kcal. (I'm eating good shit don't worry)
>Last week ate average of 2550 kcal per day
>Diet structure has stabilized, feel i can do it forever
>Don't want to waste another week to find out if 2550 is too much (too slow weight loss)
>Considering 2300 kcal limit?
>is that still too much?? Is that about right for a guy my size?
>I want to root out my target to his 1.5 - 2 lbs / week ASAP
My goal is 10% body fat by December 1 2017.
I'm gonna make it.

You're more likely to succeed if you set realistic goals.

>strong and naturally muscular
I doubt it t.b.h.
>start out with good form 2 plate bench
Speculation
If you really wanna do this right, find a place that will do a body composition scan. Probably cost about $60, and they'll tell you your exact TDEE. multiply it by 1.2 and just eat that every day, with a focus on protein at every meal, and healthy fats and complex carbohydrates on the sides
And don't ever lie about your bench ever again

What is not realistic about that goal?
>267 - 190 = 77lb
>one year to lose 77 lbs?
>>39612540
If you're 267 lbs you can lose more than 1.5-2 lbs per week in the beginning. I was 240 lbs and in my first month I lost 25 lbs without losing any significant strength in the gym. After you get into the low 200s, you should start dialing it back on the weight loss.

Cut ~770 calories to lose 80lbs fat, 2200 with little or no exercise.

You can start by not lying to yourself. I'm 5'10 260lbs and I'm a fat fucking lazy slob. I'm probably the unfittest person on this board.
Be realistic and you won't be disappointed, then you might have the motivation to succeed.

What motivation would i have to lie? I'm trying to give you more info about my body so you understand my body comp better and offer better advice.
I think your advice to seek professinal body comp advice is good though.

>I'm 5'10, 267
>strong/ durable as fuck
>just finished a 5 day trek in the mountains in colorado
>suffered but did it.
>I practice thai boxing 3 days a week
>the good guys there are starting to accept me because I'm a attentive training partner.
>I'm the fattest guy in Muay Thai gym. its fucking embarrassing.
>I'm also one of those nerds who imbibed every word of Starting Strength and every book / video Kelly Starrett has ever released.
>and yes I was pretty much born benching 2 plates
>some people are born with 10" dicks, just because you and I are not one of them, does not mean that they dont exist...
