So I have been taking supplements for nearly a year now and today got the results of my blood test. My doc mentioned that I have low Vitamin D levels and strangely iron alttough I eat red meat nearly everyday and as I said take supplements.
What do? Increase the dosage or change manufacturer?
Pic related. 1 pill a day. 1000 UI
Doesn't the sticky recommend 5000 UI? Also where do you live?

I do 6kui a day with my breakfast. Not sure if certain foods increase uptake. 10k is supposedly true safe upper limit.

eat adequate fat when you take it and throughout the day as well, as vitamin D is a fat soluble and without eating fat you can't even get anything out of supplementation.
increase dosage to a minimum of 2000. 5000 is probably better.
change brand to something on here with a ranking of A https://labdoor.com/rankings/vitamin-d

So I am supposed to get sun, eat fish and red meat and still eat 5 capsules a day?
Maybe I was too cautios.
I live in Austria btw

Well getting stronger ones would be easier, but yes. Austrian sun doesn't sound too harsh.

I have been cutting for half a year now and reached 71kg. Am 1,78/ 5'10. Gaining weight does no good to my face.

Your link shows D3 only. Do you take K2 seperately?
>>39611935
I do not take K2 but I have never had my 'levels' tested so I don't know if it is important. I don't remember reading anything about it being a requirement for healthy D levels

just the first link that pooped up http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/10/19/vitamin-d-vitamin-k2.aspx
But I read time and time again that you need K2 for D3 to get absorped properly

if you can get around 20-30 min of sun daily you don't need any vit D, otherwise it depends. you should ask your doctor. it could be anywhere from 5000-10000+ depending on how low it is and how long you've been without it.
Now I took 4 extra capsules and I feel dizzy and have stomach pain. FFS why is this always so difficult?
