Is Coath Ian right?

Literally who?

Ian Mcpoparts, he trained with the legendary Jason Genova
Define 'heavy'.
For some people a 12RM isn't 'heavy'.
of course he's right. you don't get a sickening pissening body like coath ian without knowing what you're doing
He's right to a certain degree. It's just inefficient to do so for one, and two the lower amount of myofibrilar hypertrophy from those routines decreases the work capacity when you reach a certain point in the routine (e.g. without the bench max increasing at a similar pace to the working sets, you will reach a limit for those working sets a lot earlier than if you trained heavier)
