Has being /fit/ ever helped you out in a fight?
What kind of stupid question is this? Is being fit useful in a fight? Yes you dumbass
Unless by /fit/ you mean being a meat head who just brags about picking up heavy things, then no

Fighting is for niggers

If I'm /fit/ people will be too scared to fight me.

Yea ofcourse I can keep my arms up longer and escape from what beginners are taught are suicidal low stances.
I can also lift any dude I'm faced with.

Meanwhile his friends are stomping you out and he is gouging your eyes or stabbing you

Yes. Kind of.
I grew up in a shitty white trash town, so I got into fights constantly growing up. I've been doing BJJ for 4 years, 1.5 of which a boxer friend and I traded striking for grappling for two hours a week, ending with a 5 min MMA match every session.
Not to say I am an expert in fighting or anything. But this is more or less what I've found to be most important in a fight:
1. Being used to fighting/experience
2. Knowing how to fight (as in, striking/grappling)
3. Size (literal mass/height)
4. Strength/power
5. Cardio/ agility/general athletics (most street fights don't last too long.)
This isn't hard and fast of course, and some higher ranking traits can be overcome by enough of a difference in lower ranking ones. Some skinny drug addict who gets into fights all the time is going to get btfo'd by a 6'5 powerlifter who's never been in a fight in his life most of the time. A boxer might get crushed by the school gorilla etc. etc.

Why would it not? Being actually fit means more muscular endurance, more cardio, and generally a higher level of strength.
Technique is good, but between people of similar technical skill, the strongest person has the advantage.
