You kind of have to pull up if you want to make it. It is the upper body equivalent of the squat after all. Pull downs just wont cut it.

meh, I supplement with pull downs. I get paranoid about strength loss and pull downs, weight don't change.

I wish I could still do dips, tore my shoulder doing seated OHP as a noob, I miss putting a 135lb dumbell on top of feet and doing weighted dips that way, get some hamstring in while you dip

They are good, they work for strength or hypertrophy, and target lots of different muscles. i dont know why more people dont do them instead of doing gay isolation exercises. Too hard i guess
