I have been lifting for 8ish months and have been doing ChestxBackxShouldersxLegsxUpperbody then two days of rest. Should I switch over to 5x5? My only worry is that my lifts won't go up and or that I won't work my chest and arms enough for them to grow.

What the fuck are you even doing, doing such a god awful split as your first routine. You're afraid of doing 5x5 because you don't want to lose your gains, literally what gains would you even make on that stupid routine? Do you have any concept of muscular imbalances?

Its from the book "Better Faster Stronger" I have made some good gains on it. I couldn't tell you why I started with that routine. Maybe the author is a hack.

I started with push pull legs split but I switched to that routine a week or two ago because my friend liked it.
