Why is this so hard to understand? If the arm wrestlers tried a strongman comp they'd get blown out. Lu couldn't arm wrestle or do strongman. Neither of them could come in a dominate a football like gronkowski and he couldn't go and kick their ass at their own sport.

Sport specificiality.

Arm wrestling is very technical, it's not just overpowering your opponent.

Actually trying to overpower an armwrestler is a bad idea. Worse the stronger you are.

The humerus bone cannot take twisting force, the grain of the bone doesn't withstand that kind of pressure well, no matter how strong the bone is.

Typically a novice will attempt to use twisting force to overpower the other guy.

The experienced guy will use back pressure, and keep their hand close to their shoulder.

They will "hook" the other guy in.

If the novice attempts using side pressure and twists their body hard enough, they will end up with a spiral fracture if the humerus.

Look up Megaman, Nathan Jones vs. Magnus Samuelsson to see how it ends up.

Strength alone is not the main factor in Armwrestling.
