Sport specific skills are best trained by practice of the activity itself.
Supplementary exercise has a place and is more or less what youd think: heavy squats and deads, plyos, etc. Sprints as well. There was a good article on dragondoor way back in the day about Alyson Felix's sprint training, basically involved heavy ass deads and plyos. She is now an olympic sprinter and fast as fuck so it must have worked

Strength to body weight ratio in your lower body (squats and deads) + plyo (jumps).
Assuming you are a novice/ intermediate:
I'd be looking to do a full body workout 3x a week or every other day, and each day you do:
Bench and row OR ohp and chins/lat pull down, and a squat (2/3 days) OR a deadlift (1/3 days). End of each session do 10x3 vertical jump, box jump or broadjump.
It's simple but at the moment, its as simple as 1) get stronger 2) jump more
Get a copy of Kelly Bagget vertical jump bible if you want to take it a bit more seriously.
>people reccommend deadlifts and squats but no explosive exersizes that can be progressively overloaded to a great extent like powercleans
and of course jump more
