started a diet on march and lost around 60 lbs by july (333 to 270), that's good but the problem is that i've literally stayed the same weight since then, i've been using the excuse "welp at least i'm not gaining weight so that's good right?"and cheating on my diet every 2 or 3 days.

Yeah I never had a big double chin unless I pressed my face into my chest but a lot of the excess fat has gone, the biggest change is that I can actually feel my fucking pelvis, collarbone, and ribcage for the first time since I can remember, that's a big boost for your confidence.

I've noticed that after a while of dieting you lose that constant urge to eat, I have one big meal a day (typically 1k calories) for lunch and then soup or something else light for dinner, keeps me going really well. My best advice to fatasses is you need to just cut junk food out completely, if you don't buy it when you go shopping you don't have access to it at home. You'll start to notice that it saves you a decent amount of money as well.

I don't run, I have my own treadmill from years ago that was just sitting in my garage, every day I "fastwalk" until I lose 200 calories, usually takes around 45 minutes. If you're not used to cardio and immediately try and do sprints with all that extra weight you'll probably be begging for death after the first session, your body can't do that. Any exercise helps really but start off slow, I've never even been inside a gym and I'm doing just fine. After 3 months of that I have a lot of definition in my legs and that's where most of my weight has come off, no more thunderthighs.

Soon as im done recovering from this back injury im going to start lifting and doing cardio again.

From my own observations + what I've read on /fit/, it's a combo of how much you're losing, how fast you lose it, and how you are treating your skin. I'd recommend slow and steady weight loss combined with staying hydrated. I've heard good things about Bio Oil here, but on the flipside I've also heard it's snake oil. YMMV. There is also surgery.

just so ya'll know about me, I'm 5'9 and currently 148 lbs. I started off at 5'9", 160 in January. By July I was down to 125 and have been bulking since then. I know that's a completely different weight range than some of ya'll, and I can't really relate to things like needing surgery for surplus skin but it's almost always possible to become healthy and good looking from your current condition.

I know that feeling of complete isolation if you feel like you're fat though. The self-image issues, the self-harm issues, the little things like never wanting to go outside in the summer in fear that you'll have to take your shirt off, the feeling that no one will ever find you attractive and that people are always laughing at you behind your back. You can and will overcome it if you are consistent.

I know I have a long ways to go myself as I'm very DYEL rn, but I feel like it's at least worth posting some encouragement. Once I settled into the routine, the time just flew by. It may take you longer for you to reach your goal than it did for me but I know you'll get there.

After 6 months of eating on a deficit, getting 100+g of protein every day and going to the gym consistently, it got down below 10% and now I'd put it at around 15-18%
