I really fucking enjoy boxing, MMA and what have you, and I'm already sorta satisfied with how big I am from the gym. can I completely replace the gym with boxing and such, and still maintain muscle mass?

Those are the muscles used to punch, yes, but that doesn't mean those muscles will get big from punching. Progressive overload with frequent heavy lifting will, though.

endurance. thats what fighters train the most cause thats what matters the most. you could be king kong but if you throw ten punches and drop from exhaustion its pointless.
