Do they actually work? And since Black Friday is coming up, what is a good handgrip to buy?

My hands are huge, but relatively weak. I was looking to buy some of these since I don't have a lot of room for some weight equipment.

Also if you guys can, what are good dumbbells to buy?

Steal a pair of clips from your gym's barbell sets. Free hand grips, yw.

They do work.

I buy Captain of Crushes because of the quality and have to upgrade every ~6 months to a harder one, which is I think proof my grip is getting stronger.

Don't fall for the meme quality ones like in your pic, the grip gets destroyed in like 2 weeks + they literally explode after too much use.

what should i start out with? my grip isn't shit but it's not as strong as others when i shake their hands.

I'm glad you brought these up. I've been considering these for my grip strength for a while now. Especially for deadlifts.

Either one of these seems good based on the packaging

I can vouch for CoCs too, senpai. Plus, I like to carry mine around as a self-defense weapon since all my sharp things were taken away.

I started with the 1.5.
Just kindof depends.
In hindsight I would have gotten a set to start.

The VAST majority of people who have never lifted will not be even close to closing the 1.5. A 2 is virtually impossoble to move for most people.

If you can dl 350 without straps you might try the 2.

Generally once you can rep a coc 15 reps you are ready to move up to the next one.

The lower you start the quicker you will progress. Things will be much slower if you can close a 1.5 or 2 starting out.

Be sure to check out types of reps amd propper form. Lots of tendons can get screwed up if you don't know what you are doing. It is DEFINITELY BETTER AND SAFER to start lighter. Just like any other lift. Get the form first.

If you have WEAK THUMBS, very small or extrodinarily large hands gippers will be a challenge for you.

Friendly reminder to do rubber band wraps around your fingers, adding more as you get stronger to combat muscle imbalance
>>
Probably as stupid question but do these do anything for forearms?

This is actually a terrible thing to do. It can fuck shit up way more tha it helps.

Much better to do reverse curls and reverse wrist curls.

They do not do nothing, but dedicated forearm excercise work much better for size, and will aid in strength.

The fuck are you doing shilling on this board?

>black Friday is coming up
>omg I have to go buy something
>let me go buy random bullshit I don't need and will hardly use

If you want a strong grip OP, you should lift weights, do farmer walks, and pullups

Perhaps you are mistaken, insecure, or mad.

A time tested method for improving grip strength are gripper implements. They work grip in a different manner than lifting a bar, mostly because of the amount of thumb involved and times under tension.

I suppose I should specify wirst curls and reverse wrist curls. 10-15 of the heaviest I can manage have done wonders for me. And honestly did more for my grip than grippers alone could ever do.

I'm off to bed in a few minutes gents.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.
(Or just a good old regular day if you are not in the US)
