They tend to be short as it's ana advantage in wrestling, and muscle is more visible when there is less frame for it to stretch over.

Wrestling training is fucking brilliant and teaches you just how much your body can take.

Most of my early years weightlifting I was obsessed with good form and rightly so ofcourse but I learned in wrestling it's safe enough to lift from the bizarrest angles.

As a manlet and a boxer in the army I can say this isn't necessarily the case.

Taller lads make great runners, longer strides means less footfalls per minute, which allows them to expend less energy, it's the same for both sprinting and running, research has shown that taller peoples cardiovascular system recovers quicker than the average short male (sub 5'7)

On a personal note, I'm 5'9, I'm pretty strong for someone that spends half my training doing running and cardio but I also put on fat a lot easier.

The bottom line is that it depends what your goals are.
