What do I add to my routine for aesthetics?
I've been doing a powerlifting routine for almost 16 weeks. My numbers are pretty OK and I've built up some strength.
I'm going to be cutting for the next 6 months to prepare for summer. What routines or exercises are best for looks? What has worked for you?
Heavy OHP for wide thick upper pecs
farmers walk and wrist curls for juicy forearms, calf raises for juicy calfs
>Rep ranges 8-12
>Isolation exercises
>Low bodyfat
There you go anon that's it

I just started doing farmer walks. Will add wrist curls and some form of calf raises.

Whats the science behind high reps?

they work more your muscles, you just need to make sure the weights are not too low, don't really matter how many reps you do, just make sure you can do more than 8, its just a number, but it kinda means that if you can't do 10 or 12 reps with that weight you need to work on your strength

My strength is pretty decent. Not by /fit/ standards I guess, but I should be able to do a good amount of weight and reps.
I hate doing curls. I'll most likely end up doing them, but what else works the bicep decently?

Thats a trap isnt it

chin ups are good, but isolation is better, biceps is a really simple muscle to work, don't need much exercises to make them exausted, try doing dumbell curls, 4 sets of 10~15 and barbell curl, also 4 sets of 10~15 (or ez bar if your wrist hurt like mine) and a dropset cable curls or with a machine

Another good option for curls is to do them using a cable machine. Through cables you can guarantee full ROM ensuring you properly hit the muscle. While still curls I've found them to be more fun.

No dumbass. Traps are disgusting.

Heavy weighted chin and higher rep curls have worked wonders for me
