Is it possible?
I'd like to get a quality sleep, while sleeping the least hours possible.
Unfortunately, I can't sleep less than 7 hours without being completely, utterly brainfucked the next day.
Please help.

polyphasic sleep is exactly what you're looking for

bump
same issue, it might seem an easy fix, just go to bed earlier, but if I do that I can't fall asleep for the life of me and might risk not sleeping at all the entire night
I've tried ZMA but it doesn't really help with falling a sleep, just keeping you in a deep sleep if you can get there, I've been contemplating taking melatonin but I have no clue where I could get my hands on some

melatonin is over the counter and it's cheap as fuck, works pretty decently at making me more drowsy

really? like at any old drug store? thought it was prescription only
>>39482979
yup, I got 90 5mg pills for $5, I think 5mg is too much so I usually split them in half
>>39482991
huh guess it's just in murrica, we can't get it without a prescription where I live (Slovenia, as if you know where it is kek)

Please, please please do not try to cheat your body of sleep. There is no substitute for the real thing. You will only be fucking yourself over in the long run if you replace it with drugs. Even coffee is bad...you should be wary of anything that makes you feel better without actually addressing the cause of it.

I understand this, but let me ask you this.
How am I supposed to compete in academia, with people who are able to sleep 5 hours a day and work as efficiently as me when I get 10?
Life is unfair as shit, and I'm just trying to balance the field here.

hows your diet?
>>39482991
you need prescription for 3mg in Finland
if your lifestyle allows it, try polyphasic sleep like >>39482952 said

Needing more hours for studying doesn't mean those hours have to come from sleeping time. You have to learn to discipline yourself and take those hours from leisure time. All those nerds spend hours and hours playing video games. If you don't do that, the playing field is level again. It sucks that you have to have less fun because of the way you were born, but that's the way it is.

like the people win in academics who publish the most in all the time they don't sleep.
What the fuck man? That's clearly not how it works.
