After years of research, experiments and trials, I concldue the following:
Nofap is nonsense UNLESS there's a porn addiction that ties into it.
You're looking for a quick fix 'test boost' by quitting fapping cold turkey. The perceived 'test boost' is just a sense of accomplishment in sticking to the program and a slight frustration that will increase from day 7 onwards.
The porn addiction is another thing - for me, having a folder with one or two favs was the key. I ended up fapping to idols, if at all (though most of the time I'd just fuck my gf).

You're essentially trying to treat symptoms of your lifestyle, which is likely sedetary. Here's the thing: A sedetary lifestyle (anything more than an hour or two of computer/tv time per day) is inherently beta. Add to that hanging around a board like 4chan filled with virgins and a woe-is-me mentality and you've built yourself a comfortable vicious cycle in which you never have to put any work in since you're 'predestined' to be a loser.
