Yeah I'm pretty sure there's links to the explanations in the GIP post. Basically it's like this:

Work up to x4 @9 (Load Drop) 4-6% Fatigue

Work up to a set of four with the last rep being pretty tough but not an absolute "nothing left" grinder. You can do this in a few sets of four, increasing weight each set, you can have a target number you want to hit, whatever. Then, drop 4-6% (so 5% to make life easier) of the total weight off the bar and do a few more sets of four till you hit RPE 9 again.

I get to lift about 1 out of eveyr 2 days and i'm still getting tossed between nights and days, but the job is shaping up quite nicely other than the hours and lack of life. Money is a little better as i make an additional ~$1000 a month now thanks to this project, plus there's like 10 days a month I don't have to buy groceries for.

Im the guy who initially requested this video. The problem is as i suspected. You must switch to hands free front squats. Put your arms out like frankenstein or a zombie and let the bar rest between your neck and shoulders. This will force you to stay extremely upright and really engage your quads. Had a grade one strain from judo that put me out of action for about a month, then pushups were okay, then maybe 2-3 months after the initial injury I was back to (weakly) pressing dumbbells and barbells. This was also before I had the slightest clue what I was doing in the gym.

Well there's your first problem.

A bigger problem is, if 120kg/265 lbs is your 1RM, you aren't very strong. The piddly weights you'd have to use to do 5x10 aren't going to make you stronger in any hurry.

Try 5x5 on a sort-of Texas Method cycle for a month or two. Start out at 195 lbs (91 kg?) the first Monday (or whatever volume day). Increase the weight by 5 lbs/2 kg every week for at least a month, longer if you feel you can keep getting the reps, start microloading if you feel it's necessary, however. If you care about pausing (and being on /plg/, you probably do), pause the volume day reps until the weight gets too heavy to do so, and then touch'n'go.

On Friday, or whatever day you'd do heavy day on, do five heavy singles (always with a pause if you care about pausing) after a suitable warm up, and start at 235 lbs (107 kg?). Try to add 5 lbs/2 kg per week.

Go in and squat and see what weight you get to where the bar stats to slow down a little on the way up. Don't make it so heavy that it's really hard, that'll come soon enough. Just a moderate weight where you can do the reps fairly easy but you feel like you're getting some work in. Then progress by 5 lbs each session
