Aspiring hockey goaltender. my outer hip about where the ball socket is for the leg is uncomfortable almost painful when trying to get closer to splits position, any stretches I should do or should I see someone about it,@ if so who?

Look up Maria Mountain on youtube she has a bunch of stretching routines for goalies. Also if youre a kings fan go fuck yourself.

Started playing this year, I play ~1 game a week but I do try and do hip stretches as much as I can when I'm not on the ice

Yeah true, definitely not NHL bound, but nz has a pretty low key hockey community so maybe if I try hard enough maybe I could play backup for my district
