Safer than holding a couple hundred pounds over your body

Seriously though, weighted dips are the shit. Made my chest blow up way faster than bench pressing. If anyone is not doing dips, they are morons.

OP here, i dropped bench press and i only do weighted dips and chest cables, i do 3 plates weighted dips

i currently do 5 chest excercises on chest day
feeling like i should drop flat bench since i only really do it out of tradition
am i correct in doing dips first? i get the best chest pump from it so prioritize it over inline bench, flys etc.
thoughts?

Exercise order has a lot to do with tendon and muscular warmup
if you aren't used to start with weighted dips, you may see that you are stronger than you are used to but also you have chances of injury yourself if you don't warm up
I have a lot of respect for dips so i always warmup with 6 reps unweighted, 3 reps 1 plate, 3 reps 2 plates and then 3 plates for 4-5x5
I also recommend chest cables instead of flies, i found that flies often feel wrong when extending your arms to the sides, and are almost useless with too light weight
but as anything, it's really up to you

Makes sense to me. If you are focusing on the chest, do whatever blasts the chest the most and is most strenuous first.

This. I also warm up first without being weighted. Gotta careful with dips.
