Just like politics, fitness has become polarized. On one hand, fit people are fitter than ever. And on the other hand we have an obesity epidemic. It's like sometime in the early 2000s every skinnyfat person around either fell into complacency due to the normalization of obesity, or they hit the gym hard in order to avoid it and ended up fit.
