Few things:

-People who dont rerack their weights.
-People that use machines incorrectly
-People taking up multiple machines during a busy period of the day
-Selfies, I fucking hate selfies
-People taking video of each other. I hate that even more. Especially if they obviously dont know what theyre doing. Kids mostly
-Sweat left on machines
-People that want to talk to me while I have headphones on, I know we see each other here alot and theres no point in exchanging names.
-People filling their Gallon tub at the only cold water fountain while they are aware of the line behind them.

I used to stay quiet until recently.

On one occassion i went on a sunday i usually hit sundays cause its empty almost all day, never go on a monday cause mondays are always full.

So some dude takes all the weights i normally use, fine i decide to do bench press "oh hey bro, im using that" fine dudes got the weights and took the bench with a bar had his towel there, go to squat rack "oh hey im using that too" had his water bottle next to it, i didnt hassle the guy but i had so say something. I'm a nice guy i dont like confrontations and this was something easily defused.

Didn't say "motherfucker you arent 3 people" just "well, do you mind if i do my reps while you use the weights over there?" guy was fine about it, internally i was pissed but i dont think it needed to escalate, i get it, its Sunday, its empty but this isn't your personal gym.

Dumbell flies (and db bench for that matter) belong on simple benches, the ones without racks. The racked ones are literally the only place to do barbell bench, and the simple ones generally outnumber the racks.

this one fuck i call stink bag. he's this fairly big indian guy who always wears the exact same clothes no matter what day it is, this polo shirt with the sleeves rolled up. he does 1/4 rom lifts on everything, 8 kinds of 1/4 rom variations on the pulldown machine, and for some reason always carries a backpack around with him. and stink bag's bag stinks which is why i call him stink bag. i mean it fucking reeks, like he's packed it with 5-month old sweaty gym socks or something. i have no idea why he won't just put it in a fucking locker, he never takes anything out of it, just carries it around the gym stinking up the place. hate that guy.

Look; I might be an asshole in some cases but when I go to the gym to train I go to get to work. Stay the fuck out of each others way, be courteous to others, do not waste anyones time, clean up after yourself, do not distract others and be safe.

Call me a douche, thats fine if thats how you feel. But the gym is for work and therapy, its not the mall, it shouldnt be a social media outlet, its not to hang out. People are in there trying to change their fucking lives.
