GYM OR HOME?
Starting with SS, would you guys recommend buying a barbell, bench and some cast iron weights or getting a gym membership.
Gym membership is good because all of the equipment but pure form fear cuz im a fag and £30 a month plus £60 a month purely on fuel (i live in the sticks) make me wanna do home.
Home is good because I dont have to leave my house but bad because I'm just gonna have to keep buying more weight as I progress and I'll progress quickly.
Pic related.
GYM! there are enough cheap gyms out there.
imo buying your own weights is a waste of money. they will catch dust eventually.
maybe start selling your body to afford yourself that gym membership.

Would having to go to the gym be an obstacle?
ie. 'I want to workout but fuck it, I am not going'
I'd recommend buying a second hand bench, bar weights and dumbbells. They can be had cheaply on second hand sites and thrift stores precisely because a lot of people impulse buy a set and then somehow don't do anything with it.( I'll never understand why you would bother going to the gym but not bother with home equipment, it doesn't make any sense)

It wouldn't be an obstacle psychologically, just financially like I said.
My closest gym would be around £5/$8 in petrol per trip. 3 times a week thats an extra 60 a month, 5 times a week thats an extra 100 a month.

If you have a decent amount of space then stay at home

Whats a decent set up though? I'll need I presume a bench, a good barbell and then enough cast iron weights to keep progressing.
Just looking to do Starting Strength and progress.
Any links or info on whats considered shit and what isnt?
