Your upper back is a huge amount of how stable and strong you are when pressing. Trying to press with a weak back is like trying to bench laying on a wobble board.

start doing hs pushups. if you can elevated hs pushups (hands on blocks or chairs) for that extra depth will give you even better results than normal ones
