Hello /fit/
6'0 - 205 lbs here
As of recently I've taken an interest in martial arts, currently I'm living the fit lifestyle for about 3 years now but I've always ignored one important issue: stretching
are there specific stretching schedules for someone with a big bmi (muscle though)? I'd like to prepare for a martial art like tae kwon do or kickboxing
Try out yoga, body builders tend to be stiff. You don't have to keep going to the class once you learn the basics, just enough so you can stretch by yourself.
Good news senpai, the stretching you need to get better and more stable kicks is the same thing you need for better squats. There are tons of videos on youtube that you can try, and here are a couple of good ones. Otherwise, go to a yoga instructor and tell them that you are looking to get better hip and lower back mobility.
