Any good recommendations for lifting shoes?
I know that slightly platformed ones are good for squatting in but i'm looking for some shoes which will be good for doing everything else and particularly last through doing deadlifts
was lifting in similar to pic related for a few months but i wear through the heels really quickly so i've been deadlifting barefoot but it feels silly

If you need to run/walk around get a cheap pair of sneakers to go with them.

Lemme get this straight, I won't look weird if I rock up in chucks to the gym? Or is it only for certain lifts? Chucks are comfy af and I would wear them all the time but I'd feel weird doing shit like curling in them

i'm looking for something without a heel lift, plus those are very expensive

i assumed the general consensus is that they're flat soled and can be laced quite tightly so they're good for lifting in a pinch
but in my experience they get destroyed very quickly if you're lifting anything moderately heavy

I wear chucks as my genera gym shoe. Squat, dead accessories, I do it all in chucks.

do you also not find that the heels get fucked really quickly? i get a hole through the sole after maybe 4-6 months of lifting in them

Might be expensive but they'll last you a lifetime. Compared to replacing chucks every month they're pretty cheap. If you don't want the heel lift then get some proper shoes and don't worry about the price.
Im also looking for some shoes to get for squatting/deadlifting. I wear running shoes normally and am aware that's not good, just don't know what to get :/

I have more of a problem with splitting around where my foot bends and the rubber on the toe cracking.
