People puke on treadmills all the time man.

as a general rule of thumb, never eat anything solid 2 hours before exercise. normal lifting is okay, but if you doing cardio its definately not, since when you contract your core muscles, you increase intra-abdominal pressure causing food to puke up easier.
its especially worse whne you start doing situps, crunches, or russian twists. even drinking water immediately before can have dire consequences.
sometimes when im doing a long set (>50) i can feel the liquid reflux back into my mouth and have to swallow it
