Hey /fit/
I started working out 2 months ago and have finally managed to do 3x10 of 1 plate squats.
However after recording myself I am not sure if I should add more weights or work on my form.
My question is :
Is ass to grass a meme or is it proper form? I noticed that my legs form 90 degrees before I push myself back up. Should I go lower?
thank you guys

It's pretty much a meme, you really have no need to go that deep other than to impress autists or olympic lifting or some crap.
Just get to parallel/slightly below it and that's plenty.

You should break parallel, which is hip crease below the knee. Which is lower than your pic. Don't want to squat low? Deadlift and save your knees.
Just get in the bottom position and hang out there for a while until youre comfortable. move your feet and knees around until you find space for your hips. keep your back neutral.
add weight when you complete your reps with good form. always work on form. every rep of every lift of every workout. even warm ips. espescially warm ups.

CAN you easily go ATG? then its not a meme and you should go lower faggot.
does your butt wink like crazy or your heels lose ground just after breaking parallel? then it is a meme, cuz it will take a lot of work and increased injury risk for slightly more glute gains.
