So my University held a bench press competition in their gym today. I wasn't going to partake because yesterday was my push day and I was sore as fuark.
Since I was at the gym anyway and I hadn't maxed in a solid year, I decided to give it a fucking go. Weighed in at 150lbs and managed to press 250.
I know I'm no monster, but I was kind of impressed with myself. Anyone else have some pleasant surprises in the gym lately? Hit some new PRs?

I have had great progress the last 4 months. Added 15-20 kg to my 5rm bench. Squatted 4pl8s for the first time. Deadlifted 200kg for the first time. Feelsgoodman
5'10.5 145 and DL'ed 365 6 months in, im 16
I hadn't been "feeling it" lately but last night I clobbered some overhead press, much more than I'd ever done and was able to do more volume too.
Not sure what went right, but it felt good man. Maybe I was possessed by demons.
