/fit/ I don't know who to turn to. I've been a night owl all my life. My college classes starting yesterday make me need to get up at 6am every day. Yesterday I crawled into bed at 10pm and I couldn't sleep. I couldn't fall asleep until 4am, and took a 5 hour nap when I got home. I was so exhausted I couldn't even lift. Today, it's now 2:30am and I still can't sleep. I have to wake up in 3 and a half hours, and physically im exhausted. But mentally my brain won't shut down. What the fuck do I do? Does anyone here have any advice for me ?

that sucks. ive been the same way since 8th grade, and just learned to deal with being tired all the time until i discovered modafinil. my doc prescribed it to me and it helps get me through the day, except now ill go days without sleeping and am pretty sure a major crash is coming soon.
Do you drink coffee?
Don't take a nap. Sleep at 10pm even if you can't get to sleep. wake up at 6 and have a cup of coffee. don't nap. go to sleep at 10pm, even if you cant sleep. wake up at 6 and have a cup of coffee.
you should have it by day 2. if not then day 3.

That sounds pretty unhealthy. People told me to go doctors and get prescriptions but I just don't want to, I rather do something a little more natural.

I'm going to do it. I'll stay up until 10pm tomorrow night I'll drink coffee I'll complain. I'll do anything I have to so I can make it to that point. Thanks bubs. Just need to think about day 2 or 3... Lol

Get the fuck out of here
don't jump straight to ampehtamines...
use caffeine first to wake you up.
and on the other end try getting to sleep with
diphenhydramine or dimenhydrinate -- antihistamine with sedating effects for most people.
melatonin - taken an hour before sleep will induce your circadian rhythm to sleep.
stop browsing the web at night. if you do try using a red filter so you're not getting blue light exposure late.

As this anon said
Tough it out and feel tired as fuck for the next few days so you can make yourself sleep at 10
I'd cut caffeine a while before bed, I don't have much of an issue with it, but I've heard others talk about how they can't sleep if they've had caffeine within 5 hours of when they're supposed to go to bed.

Stay up for 30 hours straight before sleeping and stop being a pussy. I'm in the military and have to frequently change my schedule.
I've gone from getting up at 0430 daily to working from 1900 till 0400 the next week. It's not that hard man just adjust your time accordingly

i second melatonin. blue light from being on 4chan all night inhibits how your brain produces that hormone so you can't naturally fall asleep. i stayed up a whole day once cuz i couldn't sleep, the next few days i regulated my sleep sched with that magical lil pill.
but after a week of using it, learn to fall asleep on time and stay off the phone/computer, too much melatonin aint good
take powder magnesium before sleeping, will help you greatly

You should not nap more than 20min
fix your diet and eat more greens and less carbs.
No coffee after 2PM.
Add salt to you diet
Stop playing video games or lurking /fit/ at least 1h before going to bed. Same with TV.
You have too much stress, your cortisol must be off the charts.
Just stay somewhere calm and chill, try not thinking about things.

Share one more FSOTD picture and you won't want to see what happens. I'm a loose cannon with nothing to lose.
Also update. 2 and a bit hours of sleep is what we're running on today just like yesterday. Feels good man.
