Hey /fit/izens, ive been going to the gym for more than a year now and i seem to be having problems when doing dips. Everytime i do a rep i feel my chest being terribly compressed. Ive tried different bars and my form seems to be good according to everyone ive ever asked. What is the explaination for this pain in my chest? How can i start going ham on dips¿

It is the cartiledge connection on the bone that has displaced
Don't let your elbows flare out and don't go much lower than parallel (90° angle with arms). Maybe you're not strong enough or lack flexibility.
In young people they can put too much pressure on their chest bones which are not 100% "sticked" yet.

Why do you fuckers always complain about dips giving you troubles and never take the time to make a sensible progression towards them? I bet you started doing bw dips out of the blue one day and now wonder like a reteard why you are having your sternum hurt.
