ive been sick for 2 days now
minor flu cough and running nose
and some headaches
ive been hitting the gym 6 times a week for 4 months
and ive heard that every 3 months you should get a week off gym
my question is should i get a week off gym now that im tired and sick?

If you're sick, then yes, take some time off.

It's a deload pal. Yeah, sounds like you should take this opportunity and take a week at home, or at the most go and do some moderate lifting (60% of usual).

This will give your muscles, ligaments, tendons and CNS a well deserved rest. I find after a deload (and a take a full week off rather than going in and reducing weight) I find my lifting easier and have more motivation, and soon have increases in most of my lifts

Lift if you're comfortable enough to, otherwise your health should ALWAYS come first. You can get back in there after you've taken care of yourself.
