Are squats actually harmful?
If baseball catchers completely destroy their knees by squatting bodyweight + pads then how can squatting 135, 225, or 500+ pounds to parallel once or more a week NOT be an absolute death sentence for your tendons?

Catchers will play a majority of the 162 games a year and spend the majority of those games squatting down.
>going up and down a few times isn't the same as putting pressure on your tendons/ligaments for hours at a time.
