Hello /fit/
I am thinking of joining a gym that's $45 a month and $100 starting fee. Friend said he started his membership online same place for only $35 a month. What is this mythical site with cheap monthly?

Buy a bar and weights.
You can sometimes find a 300lb weight set (including a 45lb bar) for $200-$250 at a sporting goods store
As you get stronger you can buy more used 45lb plates for cheap off craigslist
But that will take you pretty far, just replace squat with hip thrust (don't tell /fit/, they severely underrate hip thrust and slightly overrate skwatz) and replace bench with floor press (use glute bridge to get the bar in position)
This is what i have done and it was all i needed to run and complete phrak's greyskull
If you find your upper chest is lacking, use reverse grip on the floor press
If you find your quads are lacking, put your feet further away from the bar.
The barbell can be stored behind your bedroom door and the weights under your bed - requiring little to no room.
The set up is relatively portable so you can take it with you if you move, or live in a tiny ass place and need to lift at a park or whatever.
Can get a lifetime of gains for under $400 if you find good craigslist deals for weights , and you wont need to spend more than $250 for a good long while
If you are a broke neet, ask santa claus for help
good ideas

Walk into the gym with your earbuds in, small white towel on shoulder, and say that you're already checked in.
