Nice back progress. To not look DYEL eat at a caloric surplus where you're gaining 1lb to 1.5lb max a week. Lift heavy with strict form.
About the hourglass thing, thats totally normal. You have great proportions and not wide hips, your fat seems to accumulate around your torso which is good for you because it wont leave you with wide hips. MY recommendation to you is simply train your lats to get the V-taper.

As far as whats lagging, I would say your shoulders and upper back. You've made good progress, but if you want size you need to be doing a bodybuilding routine. Lots to choose from in the sticky. Good luck, glad to see the progress you've made.

Just, lift 3 times per week +cardio on off days till youre at 12% bf. spend say... a year getting to that. THEN lean bulk for a year, THEN cut to 12% again

youll be a male model, guaranteed, but it takes about 3-4 years. IF you think about it that sounds about right

I did grey skull and ss for a few months at the beginning of the year, and it was the first time I took lifting seriously. I haven't had a gym membership for the past 2 months and have been doing calisthenics, along with a lot of distance running/cycling, although I have slacked up on cardio in the past few days.

You need upper body work. You have a decent frame, but work chest and delts more.

We have similar chest inserts, and I'll tell you that if you want to see better chest results, you need to do much more accessory work. I often dedicate an entire session to just chest, and delts get the secondary workout.

Get a good warmup pump with some cable flies or dips, then work on your compound exercises. Incline, Flat, Incline Dumbbell, Flat Dumbbell. Then focus on stretching movements like cable cross, and db flies, mixing in more form controlled compound movements like Hammer press and Decline Hammer press. In all these exercises, you should be really focusing on expanding, and squeezing the chest, especially on the flies.

perspective like ive always said thats the most important routine, the most important thing in life period. Gotta find something that motivates you ya know. Whether that comes from a positive or a negative place is up to you. I didnt have a good life growing up, and then I got sick. So I think sometimes when people get sick maybe tehy had a "better" life to say, so even though they like.. curse their fate to say, maybe part of them accepts it. But for me I was like fuck this I dont want to die a sick person my whole life has sucked and that has motivated me. Plus im a nerd so you grow up watching anime and stuff and you want to be "cool" so that helps I guess that I hate myself and still want to be cool someday.


Anyway for what its worth though i mean i havnt really gained much in the past year and a half or so now only thing that cahnged is i stay leaner and work out less but eating a higher fat diet which has seemed to help me. But if anything im trying to find a way to work out less and who knows someday gain something cuz I still feel im pushing myself to hard as is and I want time for other stuff.

No offence but your squat isn't very good considering how long you've been lifting and how big you are. Although it may or may not just be roid muscles, can't tell for sure. I've been lifting for less than a year and I squat 315x5, in 2 years I'll probably be at 405x5 if not higher. Currently I'm 6'3 195lbs. Not trying to take away from your acheivement though just saying you should add more lower body work to your routine.

Good luck to you, brother. I really can understand how you might feel everyday as I have also had to deal with horrible shoulder diskynesia that fucked up my entire back and neck everday and everytime I tried lifting. It was frustrating as fuck being here for over 5 years and seeing people making it day after day and I still not being able to reach my goals despite my best efforts.

After researching alot about it and looking for stretches, tissue release techniques, motor control and massage I have been treating my shoulder for 2 years now and the pain and discomfort are almost gone. Hope I can start seriously lifting in a few more months.

Dont give up, and hope that all this shit you are going through all these years is not forever and can be fixed, just keep looking for an answer and keep researching as much as you can. Hell, if I were you I'd try to get a degree in medicine just to be able to cure myself.

I never had a real set program in the gym until the past two months and Ive noticed better lifts already

Program consists of two day splits with light and heavy cycles. working out 4-5 days out of the week, with running for 30 min outside on rest days.

My diet is shit and I drink too much. (but im trying to cut my drinking to just weekends.)

Cute christmas cake trainer at the gym said I have a good body type for powerlifting.

Anything I should be doing differently?
