>>39334122
why does it makes me so hungry then?
>be me
>be divemaster
>lift tanks all day, throw ropes and dive lots
>swim kilometres every work day
>always so so so so hungry
Can be.
It is generally advised that you try to be in good shape once you start getting into the more technical aspects of diving.
My other dive buddies are either cyclists, swimmers or endurance athletes if some sort.

Doesn't have to be.
I'm a deep water welder. Most of my colleagues obese or borderline drug addicts.

tech diving is stuff like multitank dives, different air mixtures, pushing no decompression limits, etc. usually so you can do a job like welding oil rigs or whatever
>>39334203
i feel you. i blend but only when people want nitrox etc.
>>39334197

Because essentially youre pushing your body's physiological limits by diving deep, using mixed gases and decompression. Its still an evolving science in some respects. What blends are appropriate for what depth etc since you risk oxygen tocixity, CO2 loading etc. At extremely deep dive you may start to use blends that are hypoxic on the surface and shallower depths.
There is substantially more risk involved sespecially if you have an undiagnosed medical conditions .
So ideally you try to be as healthy as you can to keep up with the physical demands, but also the mental demands required.

water takes it out of u.
freediver, always hungry
Fuck scuba. Free diving is much better.
If you have the discipline to lift. You have the discipline to train yourself to hold your breath longer. It's a great skill to have.
Bonus: Women are impressed by your hunting skills.
