Are eggs just a meme /fit/? I eat 4 eggs a day but when I think about the nutrition value, I just can't see the big deal about these things. For 4 eggs, I get 312 calories, 24g protein, 2g carbs, 20g fat. That's not hard to get from other sources and on top of that, I find eggs every day to be generally disgusting.
Can someone explain to me the benefits of eating eggs over, say, a bag of peas or a few extra scoops of peanut butter?
What's the deal with these things?

They are cheap

Prior to the explosion of whey protein isolate, eggs had the highest bioavailability (and a really good amino balance) out of any protein source.
So yes, you sacrificed calories but you got high, and fast, absorption rates.
your brain needs cholesterol, there is a lot of cholesterol in eggs, thats good for you
however eggs have become a meme because of movies like rocky
eggs are literally retro proteinshakes. Its super fucking easy to just crack a few and drink them raw, just like making a shake
we now have more knowledge and know there are better things to eat nutrition wise

You're an idiot
It's not just any protein, it has all the essential aminoacids like whey protein does. It's not very common

what protein doesn't have all the essential amino acids?
