also if I were you I'd try SS but in your shape really any lifting program will help, don't stress too much about which specific one just find one you can stick to. The important part is to actually lift, most women just lift babbyweights you need to push yourself as much as the men do

Do SS and don't fall for the skwat errday meme. Make sure you hit your macros and ease into it first.

When I started lifting I went only 2-3 times a week; depending on how long you've been out of sports you may want to go easier/harder. Better to err on the side of caution and be a DYEL for a few months before making it.

Progress linearly for a solid 6 months before considering another routine.

If you ultimately go with 3x5, make sure you hit 5 reps, 3 times before even considering to add weight. Start with the bar for all of your barbell lifts. If you feel like you can do more, don't. It's easy to injure yourself because you "feel" like you can do more. Stick to your routine.

If you want to lose weight then you'll have to find your TDEE and eat fewer calories then that.

You'll also need to ideally learn how to eat better and keep hydrated.

As for exercise, you really don't have to do ss or sl or anything. You only have to do some form of resistance training to maintain musclemass and strength while you are losing weight.
It can be anything from calisthenics to moving rocks to stripper pole dancing to pilaties.
As long as you're over coming resistance and getting stronger and maintaining or ideally building some small bit of muscle mass WHILE losing weight you're good.

But be warned.
Women plateau really fast on diets. Why? Because a woman's body is an unbelievably shrewd and Machiavellian bitch.
It will find ways to maintain fat and get better at conserving energy no matter what.
Hell it will even start squirreling away fat onto your legs and ass(thank you women's bodies that makes everything awesome for the average man).

You're going to have to be fairly strict about what you eat and upping the daily activity on top of having a daily exercise program.

PS.
There is no shame in cheating on your diet. As a matter of fact you NEED to cheat on it. Your body needs it, your mind needs it.
Studies have proven that people who take diet breaks tend to lose and keep off weight better then strict dieters. Also the "woosh effect".
