Newfag here. Using MyFitnessPal to diet. Getting everything under par except for Sodium. There is so much of it in everything I'm wondering what effect does it have on my losing weight? How much is too much anyway?

I mean, you can look up a low sodium diet and get the gist....
Salt doesn't aid or not aid losing weight, but you will feel better on a lower sodium diet, and not retain water.

Thanks anon, that really made all the pieces fall into place. It seems so obvious.
whoever is telling you to keep salt low is a fool

if you work out and sweat a lot you need more salt than the average person. Cook your own meals and you should be able to get it to a reasonable level. There's usually a lot of salt in processed food

Think you could expand on that opinion? You sound like you are talking out of your ass.

So maybe what sodium levels effect is how you feel during recovery?
