hey /fit/
i was told a rumor that building muscle in a specifc area will disperse fat cells in that area. is this true? i have excess fat in my upper body and its too late to do some cardio without me being knifed.

Are you talking about 'spot reducing'? If so, it is not true.
>>39283375
not spot reducing. say i did a fuck ton of crunches, would the fat cells move out of my chest and be replaced by muscle, or am i wasting my time.
>>39283338
read the fucking sticky
>>39283417
That's spot reduction, and it's complete bullshit.
>>39283438
thanks
If that did happen, all it would do is make your body look more perfectly round all over the place.

>crunches (ab exercise)
>move fat away from chest
Please tell me what are you smoking OP. That may be lethal.
but anyways to the best advice:
READ THE STICKY
Hey im a dyel faggot that has finally be consistent on his routine the past 4 weeks
unfortunately got sick yesterday and missed a workout. Think I might have to miss one today as well.
Should I suck it up and go, or take a few days off?
Don't have to do cardio, OP.
Eat less.
Go to the 99 cent store and buy/eat nothing but:
Mackeral, sardines, salmon, tuna, etc.
Rice, brown or parboiled
Spinach
Bell peppers
cottage cheese.
No sugary drinks
>eat as much of the foods listed as you like.
You'll lose weight. Won't have to do any exercise.
Read the sticky, learn more about nutrition and add more items later, but keep it retard simple for now if you honestly don't believe you can lose weight without exercise. This is to prove a point.

or you can stay the same weight and turn your fat to muscle
>>39283511
take a few days off for sure
don't strain your body for no reason
you'll easily get back into the routine in a week anyway

If you have a fever, don't work out.
If it's just upper respiratory, it's no big deal, hit the gym bro
