btw planks, ab wheel and leg raises only do your abs aka rectus abdominis isometrically, if you werent aware...I got much better results with my abs when i started doing exercises in which i actually dynamically contract them.

basically i checked whats function of rectus abdominis...and it turns out its flexion of the spine, or flexion of the waist. So what exercises do that best? Stuff like cable crunches, decline crunches, reverse crunches...pretty much everything that makes you flex at waist and not the hip. If you flex at hip it works your illipsoas, if you flex at waist it works your abs basically.
