Well I'm only a filthy normie that doesn't really have any mental disorder, so I can't relate to that, but I really wish you the best anon. Maybe we'll find a cure for mental disorders in the future, who knows.
Lifting definitely gives me purpose and some accomplishment. I basically lift, eat and lay in bed browsing the web on my phone. Don't have the drive to do anything else without feeling burnt out.
I am in college too and I just can't figure out how everyone else had the energy to take a full course load when I'm taking half and just barely getting by.

No, but seeing a psychiatrist and getting on the right meds does.
Source: I have BPD.

A lot of things have changed in my life since I started lifting like 10 months ago, so I can't really say for sure if it's all because of lifting, but I am so much happier, more confidant, and popular with girls than I was a year ago. I barely even look better at all, it's mostly mental gains I guess.

Basically me except I play Vidya and occasionally go out with one of my housemates. Living in halls this was my life.
Now I eat, get drunk at my computer, do cardio, study, lift and play a lot of Vidya.
