Fatty here, lost 40 pounds, getting into running, I went up in mileage and speed too fast. Has anyone here ever dealt with a stress fracture? If so do you have any tips?
stop running

Is walking incline or biking alright? there is a little knobby pressure point near the bottom right shin

biking is fine that's what I do so I don't get any gay problems like that. Stationary bike so I don't crash either

Alright cool, I start my gym session with 10 minute on the treadmill walking briskly to warm up before I do any lifting. If I continue to do that walking will this stress fracture go away? Do I have to avoid things like squatting and deadlifting or is it impact that is continuuing the issue?

I am obviously pretty worried

If it is a fracture i'm assuming you've already gone to the doctor... Anyway cycling should be OK while recovering but if you just got hurt you'll need some rest first. Try rowing, it worked for me (i'm dealing with periostitis in my left leg so I know my shit).

I was hoping I could avoid the doctor idk what they would say other than 'welp thats for sure a stress fracture, don't fuck it up anymore'. I kept trying to run on it I would take a 6-8 day break then go back to running and it would still hurt

Fuck no, no lifting. If you have a stress fracture confirmed didn't they give you an air cast so you can walk in that to keep it stable

by the way thanks everyone for the help I just don't want to go back to being a complete fatty. I'm still fixing my diet everyday, I don't commit horrible food sins but the diet could always be better.
