Hey, inferior noob here.
I've fucked around with SL for past 3-4 months, of which strictly doing the program for about 10 weeks, because I couldn't progress with it later on and it wasn't as fun.

My "lifts" are 47.5/72.5/95/132.5 (5rm).
Should I start over with sl or jump into something more advanced? Progressing on 5x5 reps was hell, but if you think I should grind more out of it, I will.

(Also, the lack of accessory work was bugging me)

Yes, this is a pretty clear indication of asymmetrical loading.
But that also might be due to the way your body is build (i.e. the asymmetry would still be there if you pulled everything with DO).
Whether or not your grip will lead to injury... who knows?
There's almost always just a chance of injury, not a certainty.

If you want to minimize chance of injury, switch your grip.
If you think that mike T's suggestion is more important for you, then do that.

I'd say go through 3x5 or 5x3, then go to a DUP like Greg Nuckols' 28 free, but if you're enjoying what you're doing and are making decent progress, then that's perfectly fine as well. The accessory work seems fine, just make sure it doesn't interfere with your main lifts.

No problem. People generally start to struggle around 2 pl8 for 5x5 on squats, cutting a bit of volume should help. If you're adding 10-15 lbs a week, then you're fine in terms of LP.

first I tried using a wooden plank under the shorter leg, but that didn't really work because my upper is longer and squats/deadlifts are dynamic exercises.

at the moment I use a semi-sumo stance on deadlifts, and just lean a bit to the shorter leg side.

imo, rounding your back in a deadlift is just transferring some of the load from the ass and legs to the back.
so if your glutes/adductors/hamstrings are weak, a rounded back can save an otherwise failed lift.
i also think keeping a straight back all comes down to just stopping the lift whenever you start to feel your back round.

Well I've been doing two cycles between each deload, so it's 5/3/1/ 5/3/1 deload. (I'm doing it 3/5/1 but whatever) I also work a manual part time job, but it hasn't been very strenuous recently. I'm doing two cycles because I'm not super strong, so I should be able to progress at this rate.

Yep, but sometimes you have those days where your warmups feel like shit, but then you set a PR on your top set anyway. So I'm not really sure that's the case or I'm just supposed to feel tired during deload weeks once you start getting stronger.

Yeah I'm either maintaining or gaining weight, my lifts are going up anyhow. Initially I didn't gain weight because the job burned way more calories than I thought (like 1500+ kcal on certain days, and I'm a manlet trying to bulk here), but I should be stable now. It's kinda difficult to work out how much you need to eat with a random work schedule with random levels of exertion.

Never did compound lifts due to injury, but I'm now considering deadlifts, since they seem to put less pressure on the knees and are a pull motion by the hands, not force put on the palm. Squats are impossible, 2-3 reps make me go home and ice them.

How much pressure would you say it puts on the knees, compared to squats? If anyone here has knee problems and deadlifts/squats please chime in, I personally can't squat bodyweight despite having very strong legs.

I pulled a couple of "heavy" singles today, and my hips just felt awful. Thought "ok I'll do conventional" then my hips still hurt.

Then I thought "okay stiff legged deadlifts" still hurt

Rolling my adductor seemed to help.

Can anyone give me advice here? I'm 5 weeks out and can't afford injury.

I think I will try pulling one heavy single per week and just not deadlifting beyond that.

Wendler wrote an article where he essentially said going full box is totally kosher, just be sure to switch back to comp style a couple cycles out before a meet. I personally do a heavily modified 5/3/1 classic and do light box squats after work sets.

I did sumo today on Cuckols 2x DL Beginner.

245 x 6 did not feel right at all and I was extremely off balance and not stable. My hips also shoot up during the initial pull.

I did 330x7 a few days ago without a belt with relative ease conventional. I don't think sumo is for me, I'm gonna try to pull 4pl8 in a week or two.

Yeah dude my deadlift is my worst lift by far. I did 385 a while ago but my form was off and I did it in heels.

I fixed my setup, got a belt and actually have decent shoes for deadlifting now and it feels much much easier than it did when I pulled 385

This is more or less true. A man's 1RM is between 95 and 99% of available motor units called into contraction for the lift, which means there's practically nothing left in the tank to recover position if technique breaks down.

A woman's 1RM is closer to a man's 5RM (around 80% of available motor units in contraction), so it's not just a lower absolute load, it's a lesser physiological strain, and it's possible to use some of those leftover motor units to compensate for poor technique.
