Need some help from you guys. I got pain in my forarm from curling (pic related thumb area). I curl dumbbells at a neutral standing at incline and decline and normally do a finisher with cables where I curl, curl and hold and than hold in curl position (45lb - 50lb dumbbells on good or bad days). Got any stretches advice or changes I could do to get this pain to go away? I use no gloves or wrist straps.

Same kinda shit here, except mine feels like the bone that's hurting. I'm not even doing heavy weight - 20kg dumbell normal curls and 20-30 kg preachers with the EZ bar. What gives?

it's probably tight forearms, reverse forearm stretch and get the end of a barbell and roll it up and down your forearms or if you have a gf get her and a rolling pin and roll it on the forearm

if you've never stretched your forearms (or any other muscle) you'll eventually have massive problems with it, stretching everything is essential to lifting

I am considering wrist straps since I think my wrist is getting wrenched even when I activly fight it. I just don't want to have underdeveloped wrist strength because of them either
>>
Tennis elbow.

Stop curling until it's 100% gone or it will take years to go away
>>
It happens, don't do isolation movement on forearms and take it easy on exercises that use it extensively(like pull ups and curling),let it cool off a bit ,also a good idea is to take a wooden stick used for stretching or anything light weight(and I do mean lightweight) and do forearm twists
I should disappear in a month or so

Any advice after I am back in the curling game in how to prevent it? I don't want to use gloves/wrist straps since it might weaken my wrists.

I had the same pain here. I stopped curling palm up for a few weeks or doing other bicep things with palm up grip and it went away.

Its probably tendonitis. You can do a simple test. To diagnose a patient with tendonitis the aptient must fill 2/3 criteria. Pain when stretching, pain when using the muscle and pain when palpating (touching) muscle. If the pain is on the outside of your forearm, stretch your extensor muscles, if its on the inside, stretch your flexors.

If you got tendonitis your should rest from the activity that causes pain, do circulation training (lots of reps, no weight, pump blood into area) and slight stretching. Its important that your dont cause pain when you do these movments, if you do. Stop, you will only make it worse. Keep the training light and under control.

I study to become a physical therapist. We just had a test in diagnosis/treatment, I passed. So my advice should be good.

I have the same OP just mine comes from too long sessions of playing CS:GO with a mouse. Due to low sensitivity of the mouse it hurts me there. Though interestingly a few hours break then working out fixes it for me

It's tennis elbow, nigga. Stop curling with shit form, work the muscles and not the weight. Deload to a weight you can handle safely rather than swing around.

This is it.

Can't swing with isolation movements. I only do standing neutral curls that are not isolation and I and stuff as a board bringing those weights up.
